Google Maps
Maps are great for getting around, but online maps could be a lot better. So Google decided to make dynamic, interactive maps that are draggable — no clicking and waiting for graphics to reload each time you want to view the adjacent parts of a map. Want to be able to type in the name of a region or neighborhood and see any part of it as easily as with a regular street map? Now you can with Google Maps.
Since these maps are draggable, you can use your mouse or the directional arrows to pan left, right, up and down to see areas that are hidden off screen. You can also use the slider to zoom in and zoom out.

Guard your personal information
Don’t provide your credit card or bank account number unless you are actually paying for something. Your social security number should not be necessary unless you are applying for credit. Be especially suspicious if someone claiming to be from a company with whom you have an account asks for information that the business already has.
The Wayback Website
Browse through 40 billion web pages archived from 1996 to a few months ago. To start surfing the Wayback, type in the web address of a site or page where you would like to start, and press enter. Then select from the archived dates available. The resulting pages point to other archived pages at as close a date as possible. Keyword searching is not currently supported.
Firewalls
A Firewall is a tool, either hardware or software, that hides your computer from Internet threats. Did you know that it only takes about 20 minutes for a Hacker to find and hack into your computer? Once in the hacker can take control of your computer to download personal and or financial documents or use your computer as a portal to send out mass spam or virus emails.
I recommend installing a good Firewall software program on all of your computers. One of the best also has a freeware version for home users.
